Driving

Yesterday we woke up and had a chilled out morning before packing up and going to the airport where we got our rental car. Then we got in our car and said goodbye to Dad which was quite sad because we only had 3 weeks with him. 

Then we drove all the way up to Blueys Beach which was amazing. The house we were staying in was a coastal treehouse and there are two levels and instead of having two whole floors it is basically like a balcony but in the house. 

We had pizza for dinner and before that we had gone to Boomerang beach. We got back to where we stayed and ate the pizza and I had a coke with it. Next we all went to sleep because we were tired and it was getting dark.

This morning we went to Elizabeth Beach where we kept on jumping into the waves and doing cartwheels. The beach was so nice and wasn't very full or choppy so it was fine to do anything we wanted. Then we had breakfast and started driving to Port Macquarie and the Koala Hospital.

I adopted a baby koala which is so cute and has been released back into the wild. They are doing quite a lot to help koalas in the wild and have saved a lot of the koalas lives which I think is amazing.

Then we got back in the car and drove all the way to Coffs Harbour. It wasn't that far and took about 2 hours. We are staying with mum's oldest friend's family and their house is amazing. We made homemade gelato (ice-cream) that was very nice. We are now going to bed so we can get up early in the morning and swim and Skype Dad.
